"Now a Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures"
(Acts 18: 24, NASB)
Apollos is an interesting character in the New Testament. However, not much is mentioned about him in the New Testament. There are only 7 references in the Scriptures that mention his name (see Acts 18: 24; 1 Cor. 1: 12; 3: 4-6; 4: 6; Titus 3: 13).
In Acts 18:24-28 we see three points that relate to the life of Apollos in his service for the Lord. They are as follows:
1. Apollos was Mighty in Spirit!
2. Apollos was Mighty in Scripture!
3. Apollos was Mighty in Speach!
